COURTESY POSTING: This dog is not affiliated with Paw Prints Rescue. Atticus is likely a (best guess) chihuaha and rat terrier mix dog and weighs in the 9# range. He is a lucky dog for was found alone and abandoned on the roadside as a 1 1/2 # puppy where he was saved by a good Samaritan. He is a happy little dog that will need a family that lets him play as is still a puppy less than a year old. He has learned to chew appropriately-toys, not furniture. Atticus will require a patient owner who can provide ongoing house training as has been paper trained as a small dog. He is pretty good in a kennel but needs to get out for potty, play, and exercise throughout the day. He gets along with the new kitten as well as other dogs his size. Atticus is fully vaccinated and has been on monthly heartworm preventative since a young puppy. He has been dearly loved and is looking for the same in his new home. Atticus has not been around children but should do okay with older ones who understand how to treat and play with a small dog, He will require a securely fenced yard and must be an INDOOR ONLY dog. He does require a special food so his adopter should know this in advance. His adoption fee is $150 to offset the veterinary costs incurred. If interested, contact [email removed] for an application.
